Simcoe County Trails: Ready to Explore

We worked with the project committee to create a communications plan that would help increase active participation on the many scenic trails throughout Simcoe County. A significant part of the plan included the development of a web site to profile the various trails, list updated events and provide resources for trail events planning.

S.A.F.E. International

S.A.F.E. is Ontario’s leading self-protection instruction program for women. After a detailed needs assessment, we discovered that the challenge for SAFE was to promote their method of using humour to teach a serious topic. We reasoned the most effective way to deliver the message was through multimedia. By combining the dynamics of audio and video with the ubiquity of the World Wide Web, we were able to create a web site and later a DVD that shows SAFE’s target markets what they do, rather than a medium that only tells what they do.

CLO - Together We Can Do It!: The Role of Volunteers in the Assessment Process

Community Literacy of Ontario (CLO) asked us to design a CD-ROM that would complement the learning resource called Together We Can Do It!

By beginning with an assessment to understand the purpose of the tool, the desired outcomes of the organization and a profile of the end-users of the resource, we were able to design a creative, easy-to-operate CD-ROM with an auto-run function. The user is presented with a pleasant, uncluttered menu. All resources are accessible within two clicks, and they load promptly, thereby allowing the users to download or print the various resources.
